Mood: waiting for wind
8th July 2011
Windsurfing: Pevensey Bay
Wind Direction: Ssw
Wind Stength: 15mph but increased somewhat a
Surf / Sea State: Choppy
Air Temperature: Ok
Sea Temperature: Ok
Weather: Over cast with rain forecast
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Got to beach to find cross shore winds but lighter than anticipated. Only registered 10-15mph on Ashley's windy meter.
Looked windier and was supposed to be windier so split the difference and rigged my new XO Quad 6.6m and my as yet untried Exocet SL Sport 66.
Ash was less confident and rigged his 7.8m on his Techno !!
Ash flew off the beach so looked good .... I headed out and thought 'happy day's ' ..... Sail and board felt sweet and the 37.5cm BPF TypeR was just right :)
Stonked off and settled .... If it'd been flat water the speeds would have been amazing but the lumps and bumps demanded some caution .... Nice few runs in and out, cranking up wind and then remembering that I might need to go back downwind come time to head to work ....
Wind kept picking up and sea state got livelier too .... Ash decided to change down to his 6.6 and Nano 125 .... I opted to stick with it being a tad lazy and knowing time was limited ;)
Had a decent hour or so, proper workout too !!!!
Packed up just as clouded over and started to rain and headed off to work ..... Looks minging now for those who clung onto their duvets for the extra 'zzzzz' time .... Good luck .... And enjoy :)
